Seahorse has teamed up with the British International Freight Association (BIFA) to launch a new educational initiative designed specifically for journalists and media professionals that are newcomers to the freight and logistics sector.

“Freight Fundamentals for Media Professionals,” aims to bridge the knowledge gap and provide incoming journalists and PR professionals with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of global logistics.

The freight and logistics industry plays a pivotal role in the global economy, yet its intricacies often remain underexplored in mainstream media. With the rise of supply chain disruptions, sustainability concerns, and technological advancements, accurate and informed reporting has never been more critical. BIFA’s new course addresses this by equipping incoming journalists with the knowledge and tools necessary to provide nuanced and insightful coverage of the sector.

BIFA’s Director General, Stephen Parker, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative:

“Journalists play a vital role in shaping public understanding of industries like ours. By launching this course, BIFA aims to empower media professionals that are new to the sector with accurate, actionable insights, enabling them to report on our sector with confidence and clarity.”
